I won't thread the Mk11 - it was just a drastic last resort. I will try to hound KAC some more and see if anything comes from it. If and when I can convince them to get the suppressor - I will not send my rifle down...I'll take my chances on the POI and fitting. On a XM110 note.... KAC said the SASS...

I've seen your Mk11 before Fongman, always a nice rig to see! When I inquired with KAC at the SHOT Show about getting the suppressor for my Mk11 they basically laughed at me..... I told them I would take my chances and just order a can without sending my rifle in for the least POI shift test, but th...

On my way back from SHOT someone saw my Magpul MIAD grip in the waiting area and thought it was a gun - and reported it. This is after going through the TSA security screening checkpoints.... A few minutes later about 6 LVMPD officers were around me. I showed them my Mil ID and then what I had - the...

Those are the photos I took at the AFJ Blackwater Shootout in May. The rifle shot well, but it was heavily fouled and I had a couple FTFs. I read the whole AAR of SOTG's view of the Armalite SASS - they seem to like it. We (Marine side) are suppose to be getting Mk11s in sometime soon - which some f...

I had my 24" SR25 match cut down to 16" and threaded 5/8-24. The rifle still shoots around 1 MOA, so I don't feel I lost any accuracy after the chop. If you can fine a competent smith to thread it, I think you should be fine.

Very nice! I guess in the end it is a trade off between having flash suppression or a little shorter OAL with the suppressor attached. The HVT seems to be in the running to go on my 16" SR25, though I will probably go with the Phantom-style since I will not be shooting it with the suppressor on...

Glad to see you got the Phantom to work with the 416. QD suppressor options seem to be rather limited on that system. I know the bi-lock wouldn't work on the 10" - at least without machining back the gas block.

Kevin,

was any modification required to the Phantom to properly mount it on the 10" 416 barrel?

Suppressed SR15

KAC SR15 Match. Had Gemtech cut the barrel down to 18" and install a bi-lock. I was testing the Universal Night Sight, as this was a T&E unit I had on loan. Good setup for taking care of the night critters....

Nice Mk11 - and suppressor! Been trying to get one for my Mk11 for a couple years with no luck. I switched out the KAC rings with Badgers and have the ARMS bipod mount. Gotta love KAC.

Suppressed SR25

Well, after 1.5 years I finally got around to finishing this rifle. Started out as a SR25 Match (24" barrel) that I bought in August 2004. Assuming the AWB was going to sunset, I bought the rifle thinking to build a 16" carbine out of it. The ban sunset and so the project began. I stripped...

Options for 7.62 QD Suppressor

What are the current options for a 7.62 QD suppressor?

I know of:
Gemtech HVT
ACC 7.62SD (never seen a pic or spec sheet)
SWR SORAD (still in R&D phase?)
Surefire 7.62

Thanks.

Questions on SWR Spec-War 2 mounting sleeves

What method(s) seem to work best in order to clean the mounting sleeve assembly on the Spec-War 2s, as well as keeping them moving freely over the long haul? I ran about 300 rounds with the suppressor on and not only was it difficult to remove, the sleeve did not want to spring back into back in ord...

AAC M4-2000 Mount Backset?

I don't know if I am using the term correctly, but what I need to know is the distance from the shoulder of the threads to the rear of M4-2000 mount. Reason being is I have a 10" BBL upper and I don't know if there will be enough clearance between the shoulder of the threads to where the gas bl...

Saw the same review in the mag, I'm interested in their QD 5.56 can.... Not much info on the web about them and their website is still under construction. Best to give them a call.
