sighting problem - need help
So I got to shoot my 300BLK for the first time today and besides the dick that happened to be sharing a range it was a good day. I tried to get the gun close to zero at 25 yds. At 25 yds I was 8" R and 3.5" H. So I adjusted the elevation exactly where I wanted it. . . and no matter what I ...

Re: how clean does my .22 can need to be
I am vaguely sure that I read of someone using a sonic cleaner on baffles... Any thoughts on this? Depends on the material the baffles are fabricated from. Aluminum is a no no, as the cavitation can damage the anodizing and destroy the structure. Titanium is supposedly along the same lines(without ...

Re: how clean does my .22 can need to be

Im gonna give em a spin tomorrow at the range. Also, only paid $2.99 a box of 50. All i need out of them now is a hollow point and we've got the ...

Is there anyway you can post up pics of your baffles, and a drawing of your can? Just simply saying "i modeled it after this post" doesnt help since this guy doesnt seem to have the same problem.
Just a shot in the dark, is it a thread together can?

Re: how clean does my .22 can need to be
Considering how maleable it is. . . . I'd say no. I'd like to see someone create a can out of Titanium (I know its already been done. . . .just wait for it) with a monocore for a .30 Its already been done before and commercially available..........Liberty Freedom. Re: At the range today
So I finally went to the range to sight in my Sig Mosquito with John's Guns SP22 can and Insight laser/tactical light. I've shot a bunch of rounds through it but just not at range with set distance and controlled conditions. Total, I've got about 750 rounds through the Mosquito and about 250 of tho...

He'll for $165, I say do whatever you feel like doing. . . .
My only regret with mine is not getting a stainless, but when I bought it I didn't think I would be shooting as much as I am now. Maybe you am do a stainless upgrade for the baffles?

Re: how clean does my .22 can need to be
The water won't do anything about the compressed/hardened buildup, just the soot on the surface. H20 WILL rust aluminum, so be sure it is thoroughly dried before storing it. Forget it, if it wont "clean" it, then I wont waste my time. I'll wait the two weeks until I can buy the soda blast...

Re: how clean does my .22 can need to be
If you are going to do anything I would use anti-sieze.[/quote] Im assuming you mean anti seize on the baffels? Also, I had an idea. Would it be ok to put the baffels in some hot water (boiling or just below boiling) in order to heat up all the s--t on them and then brush them clean? I wont have a s...

you actually got an answer from that mess.if so please tell me, half say never and half say yes. The answer I got was basiclaly clean it when performance is affected. I pulled my can off after 500 rds of Remington subsonic ammo and it was dirty, as expected. Re: Don't forget the barbed wire.
The small fish hooks with the barbs, on a 40-50 lb test at just above the ankle makes for a great trip wire. Shouldnt do much for determent but rig it to an alarm and theres no chance of them getting it off their pant leg in a huryy. . . thus sounding your alarm repeatedly.
