Re: SS Sparrow Ultrasonic Cleaning

Re: SS Sparrow Ultrasonic Cleaning
What sonic cleaners are you guys using? http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=CD-2800 I got it way back in 2010 for about $30 shipped. I bought it to clean Spectre baffles, and was glad to find out that it fit the SS Sparrow baffles when I got the suppressor about a year later. From the descripti...

SS Sparrow Ultrasonic Cleaning
About 600-700 rounds of mixed ammo. I used a cheap ~$20 Ultrasonic cleaner and a Baking Soda and Dawn dish-washing liquid solution. I went through a BUNCH of 3 min cleaning cycles and here are the results: Before: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j102/richm2004/IMG_6974_DPP_CROP.jpg After: http://i...

Opps....here is the whole quote: "Not at this time. With our current production schedule and shop services work load we do not have time to work on them except for repairs. We hope to offer an Outback-2D type upgrade to them at some point in the future"

FYI....I sent Gemtech an email inquiry regarding whether they can modify an Oasis Pistol to be user disassembled for cleaning. Their response: "Not at this time".

Gemtech Oasis Questions
All,
For the folks that own one, would you still buy one today? How do you clean? What type of ammo do you use?
Any other comments regarding the Pistol will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Integral 22LR Pistol - Any dealers have any in-stock?
Hello, Anyone know if Gemtech still makes the Oasis Pistol? Any dealers have the Oasis Pistol in stock? Any other suggestions on "in-stock" integral pistols? I don't want to wait for the pistol to be built but rather just buy a unit that is in-stock from a dealer/distributor. Thanks, Richard

Marvel makes a .22 fullauto oil I am using and will use till the end of time. I bought a case because it works so well.My M11-22 and MP5 and Uzi .22 will run allot longer and better with this stuff.Yes they still need cleansing. Also try taking a .22 rifle bore brush and bend it in a 90 degree angl...

Re: Bought a Sparrow, did I make a mistake?
Fair enough. If my other ventures into the world of firearms are indicative of such, my Sparrow will be the first of many, many more to come. It seems that most find the Sparrow, Spectre and Element to be roughly the top of the line for rimfire suppressors. Any others I should be interested in? Int...

22 cans are like potato chips.....you can't just stop at one. Just follow up the SS Sparrow purchase with the Spectre II, then with the SF Ryder when its finally released.

Re: Best Silencer for a .45 hand gum.
Key discriminator for the Ti Rant 45 is that it disassembles for cleaning. yeah, because cleaning them is so fun and helps them last forever, keeping them mouse fart quiet. Sure...or sometimes you wanna run some dirty ammo like 22LR through them....bottomline is that it allows one the OPTION to cle...

No...to put the upper and lower on different builds. Upper/Pistol Lower; Lower/TBD Upper.silencertalk wrote:For what purpose - to ship the upper before the lower transfer paperwork is approved? I can't see that happening.

I did the camo job myself , the trigger is a totally adjustable electronic trigger, basically a mouse click. it goes down to 2 ounces or so with no pre or over travel.. you can fire like 15 rounds a second if you can click it fast enough... or you can shoot slow and accurate.... the stock was made ...

Good advice! But I don't think I've got that much exposure but rather, think I'm more sensitive to the blowback particles than others, so I'll be more cautious next time. You might be surprised. That's a spooky amount of lead vapor to be huffing. Yeah...exactly what I was thinking...thus the hunt f...
