Re: Thoughts on adhesive for 22 suppresors

I would have a hard time cleaning a 22lr can if both ends didn't come off.
Sometimes I have to tap out the baffles with a wood dowel after too many rounds.
If you are set on securing the mount end, try JB Weld or you could side drill it and pin it.

I see nothing but problems with using that "tool"....best to have your barrel threaded on a lathe.

What are the other two ARs on the background are they piston or DI? I can see the LMT on the foreground. The (2) with Halo suppressors are both LMT MRP 12" Piston SBR's, both set up the same except the middle weapon has ladder covers as I sometimes put a rail mounted M203 launcher on it. The o...

I've had no problems suppressing my piston M4's. They are 12" MRP's with Gemtech Halos. Hearing safe w/o ear protection?.....outside, YES.....inside, NO Staying with a 16" you will not have any of the problems that sometimes occur with shorter barrels, suppressed or unsuppressed. Piston ri...

Re: My 9mm Form 1 with booster

The suppressor now has over 500 rounds and functions flawlessly on the G19. Threads look great and no visible damage to the lockup areas of the slide or barrel. I had a chance to accurately measure the spring strength in my factory cans and I did not use the spring in the original post, I decided to...

I posted a thread on my 9mm build with a booster. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=79673 I had some insight as I already own a couple factory cans with boosters. I changed the setup on that 9mm build and went with a 3 point contact piston. I was not concerned about venting ...

Re: MK760 coming out of "gun jail" tomorrow (pic)

I had a MK-760 from Southern Machine Tool & Die and a matching SG-9 suppressor from them too.
It was really quiet.... Just bolt noise.

It's also fun watching 70's TV shows and movies when the bad guys pull out 76's. :D
Enjoy.

Re: should i thread a suppressor or weld it to the barrel?

I don’t have the ability to thread a suppressor to a barrel. i only have the option of welding to the barrel and my main question is will that affect the quality of the silencer in a noise aspect? (First build) This is the silencersmithing section. I'm sure there are a few here that would like to r...

Re: Double barrel AR15

From the details, it looks as if the 'semi-automatic' version would be classified as a machine gun by the ATF as it fires two rounds simultaneously with a single pull of the trigger. It is not that both barrels can fire simultaneously that would get the ATF's attention, it is that they can be autom...

The easy way out would be to tap a scrap of rod and turn down to your profile.
I did a quick search on a 3/8 24 Tap and found a few for about $4 shipped.

It is best to store your SBR upper at another location (friends home) until your approved paperwork arrives.
