I have been really impressed with the Viper, but I've only observed them being shot. I haven't shot one myself, and I've found that pretty much any can sounds louder to the shooter than to the bystander. Diomed mentioned internal volume, and the gassing issue. I don't have any problems shooting my C...

I could have bought one for a couple hundred less, but I shopped around and ended up buying my Uzi in-state. Total wait was just under 3 months. Of course, this was a couple of years ago, before the current paperwork slow-down.

How does it perform?
I couldn't say, but for a wet pistol can that size that also uses wipes, it had better be darned quiet.

115gr gold dots going 1500fps blow up rabbits quite amazingly. I've found the same using 124 gr. Gold Dots. Nice little hole going in, and a big 3"-4" chunk blown out the exit side. You might also try Berrys plated RN bullets. While I haven't tried the 147s on jackrabbits, the 124s gave t...

Re: subsonic 44 mag

I just bought some remington 240 grain hollopoint for my TC encore / AAC EVO 45 project... got some unique , bullseye, hp38 , titegroup powders... You don't say what barrel length you have on the Encore. I'm going to assume you are using a rifle-length barrel. IIRC, HP38 is the exact same powder as...

I regularly send in multiple forms for multiple states at the same time. They usually all come back approved at the same time. Of course, one time when I sent in a dozen or so sets of forms, they sent back about half first, and the other half a week or two later. I currently have approved 5320.20s f...

to be honest, I don't notice all that much difference when shooting my TAC67 wet vs. dry. Not enough to bother with the added mess any way.

There is a much more noticeable difference when shooting a MAC can, for example wet. You do end up with a mist of gunk all over your forearms though.

Can't you just enlarge the gas port(s)? Possibly - if I can get at it. The gas port is just at the front of the chamber at the 9:00 position. It appears there is a barrel extension at the chamber end, held on with a large pin. I haven't tried removing the pin yet but I'm assuming this would free up...

3 dollar bill So far - yeah. I need to see if I can work up a subsonic load that will cycle the action before going to the bother of chopping the gun. But I'm considering it. I've got a couple of 300 gr. loads that are in the low 1100s. I think I can drop them down a little more and still keep the ...

Here is the one that I built. Usually use a different silencer on it, this one is kind of loud. Dan, Is that one of the older Ramline stocks, and did you merely shorten it at the front in order for the short barrel to fit? Right, chop off the front section that used to be made for the barrel clamp....

I really don't like to use my Trident on the M11/9. I get gassed out way too bad. This is after just a few rounds in semi-auto. A F/A burst will have your eyes watering, and your throat burning in no time. I'm using this on a TASK-style slowfire conversion with an Autowerkes upper. The gassing may n...

where can an adapter be found to be able to but on my .5x28 Evo 9 can on the M11/9? Do not use an adapter to put your Evo on the M11. The weak point of the system is the coarse threads on the MAC barrels. When the can starts to heat up, it will loosen up. Due to the nature of the coarse threads, wh...

Maybe a Trident 9 or Evo-9 with an adapter, thats your best bet. I get gassed out bad with the Trident on my M11/9. As noted, a large-volume can like the AWC MK9 or the GT MK9K seem to work better. They tend to have a lower tone as well, which is usually a little more comfortable to the ear. I heard...

After all, if you're not worried about the money, just buy another pistol if you screw up the first one.

Garrett, What is the height of the punches you used? I see you lost some of the top and bottom of some of the letters... It's actually not as bad as it looks here. Some of it is lighting, but some of it didn't come out all that well. It definitely looks better in person, though. I don't think it wa...

I can see the attraction, but I think that you'd have to take a hard look at what you'd be gaining with an SBR that you wouldn't have just buying a T/C pistol. I'd love to have a T/C for use with a lightweight .22 can for dispatching yard pests, but I think I'd be just as well served with a pistol ...

I SBRed my Contender a few years ago. It's a fun little gun. I've had suppressed .44 mag and 300 Whisper barrels, and I just picked up an 8" .22LR barrel that I need to have threaded.

Fun little gun.

Re: 30 carbine subsonic loading

Could I shorten the cases? Kind of like the Aguila 22lr SSS round with the over length projo set in a short case. As kletzenklueffer pointed out, this probably wouldn't work. It works with the SSS because the .22LR has a rimmed case, but the .30 Carbine is rimless. I believe that SSK looked into us...

I completely blew the end off a bowers can with PMC 9mm through a M11-9. Kinda sucked. s--t happens. Yeah - common problem with MAC cans due to the coarse threads on the barrels.
