Why not trim and double-flair the longer tube on the factory AR-10 adjustable?

Re: Lubricating suppressed AR 10

Have you tried a chromed or Ni-Boron BCG? Might slicken things up a bit. Maybe an adjustable gas block or adjustable gas tube to cut back on the gas a bit.

While I'd love a nice Movado or something similar, I'd never wear it regularly.

Re: First post, really weird question

PVC centerfire pistol silencer would probably make a great schrapnel grenade on the end of a barrel. Might as well just stick a potato on it. If you're looking for super simple, our hero needs to go to an automotive parts store and get the following inexpensive items: 12" piece of straight exha...

Re: How often ... get finger printed? New trust rules, etc.

Completely hypothetical (I have a trust, just so you know Mr NSA...) So, the sheriff signoff is JUST a certification that your prints are valid and NFA is legal in your area. If you go in and print cards from the sheriff (for a clearance, BG check, job, ... whatever reason you decide to tell them) a...

Will sumbitted F4's awaiting approval be grandfathered?

I have forms I submitted back in July and the checks were promptly put on hold/cashed/whatever. Do you guys think current Form 4's put in the system will be grandfathered? What about people that already possess items on trusts? Will those trusts need cards and prints for all parties mentioned therei...

what's the street-price on a Cyclone? I know the MSRP is $750 any places selling them cheaper? Usually you can find cheaper than $750.

Re: Quietest thread on .308 & .22lr suppressors?

Last time I looked at rimfire cans, I think the Kodiak XL was the bee's knees but I wasted something a little more handy. I guess the ultra is the next evolution. For a simple 7.62 can, I was thinking that the AAC cyclone was a great price for the stated suppressino levels.

Quietest thread on .308 & .22lr suppressors?

Looking for people's opinions on the current quietest simple thread-on suppressors in 22LR and 30cal. I already have an AAC 762SDN6 (pending) for my ARs and SWR Warlock for my .22LR pistols ... bother are great small/midsize/quiet silencers. I'm just looking for ultra quiet silencer for target rifle...

Re: Finially got a Rem 700 AAC-SD SPS... where to get a moun

I had the same problem with the flash hider. The Brake works fine on my 700 AAC SD. The flash hider and combo brake/hider both have wrench flats on the back and recessed threads. The brake does not. Good news all, thanks!! I plan on mounting a Blackout FH to my 14.5" 308AR, so I should have no...

Re: Finially got a Rem 700 AAC-SD SPS... where to get a moun

So, judging by the lack of responses and old style brake mounts to be found anywhere , I guess the back edge of the new-style mount's deep socket extension is acceptable to index against the AAC-SD thread shoulder? Or am I going to HAVE to cut a .750 OD behind the thread shoulder and then face off t...

Re: AR-10 SBR'S

Just got an email from McGowan Barrel yesterday; my short 308 barrel will be ready within the week. I'd urge looking at them since I feel the price was very fair... cheaper than buying a used factory barrel and having it chopped/profiled. It's a 1:10 twist midlength 14.5" with M4/govt profile a...

Finially got a Rem 700 AAC-SD SPS... where to get a mount?

I finally pulled the trigger on a Remington 700 AAC-SD. Talked to Mel @ Sniper Central and he said they could use the AAC-SD SPS as the base rifle for one of their builds, so I ordered one of their rifle packages. Given that the R700 AAC-SD has a bull barrel, where can I get one of the old-style 51T...

Assuming we're talking modern infantry/ground based methods with ample ammunition: Defensive Arrangement: I'd assemble a 100 man COP with 20' high stacked hesco barriers. 10 people with M134 Miniguns in nests on the wall; 1000m effective range 10 people with suppressed 338LM rifles (day & night ...

Re: sdn-6 on rem 700?

So would we be better to try and find an older style 51T 7.62 hider or brake mount (without the couterbore) for a factory thrreaded remington 700? If I understand the drawing correctly, the new style 762SDN6 mounts square up on the muzzle... not the shoulder of the threads. I have paperwork processi...

Re: How much do you really like your M11/9?

Well CQ, I like mine alot. It's not my favorite gun, but it is alot of fun. Keep in mind additional costs. I would almost say that a MAC requires a Lage. It's not debatable if you plan to shoot the gun at all often. Whether you want to shoot fast or slow (immaterial since speed is variable) the Lage...

You mentioned that this was an "involved" core upgrade... I was just wondering if the process involved reinforcement of the tube or other means of supporting the baffle stack. Just curious.
