69 monocore in production soon.

Thought you guys would be interested to hear that I have been working with an area 07/02 to develop a CNC version of my 69 monocore. We have a few minor tweaks on the core and we will be ready to start filling orders in the next month or so.

We do not have any sound reduction numbers yet, but the manufacture had the opportunity to do side by side comparisons with an Outback and the Thompson Mach. monocore. Informally, it was comparable to the Outback and quieter then the Thompson Mach..... but there is no discernible FRP, where both of the others were quite noticeable.

The final product will be hard coat anodized aluminum with a stainless insert for the threaded mount and it weighs in at about 3.5 ounces. Custom Cerakote finishes will be available for a small additional cost. Well.....this is not what exactly what the final product will look like. As I said we are making some cosmetic and minor design changes, but here is what that the core looks like at this stage....and these cores have not been anodized....just playing around with Cerakote finishes on the tubes.

We are going to be changing the front cap to make the grip more aggressive and setting up the back end with a hex profile.

As for speed of production I wish that was the programmers job too but no money

Of particular note is the candy red can. At first I thought that
Red Jacket had dropped one off but then a reality set in.
Why the heck not! Hot Rodders have long painted their
gems that color. The vibrancy brilliantly attenuates the
visceral fear of silencers and makes them much less threatening.

What self-respecting 'hit-man' would be seen with such a can,
under a dark bridge, waiting for Spenser or Phillip Marlowe to pounce on
unless he were a Rahm Emanuel clone in a chartreuse stripped suit
with a polka dot pink and mauve tie, and a pimp fedora hat with
a feather in the brim.

I believe you may have hit upon a most interesting marketing
and psychological concept: Shiny Hot Rod colors. For me
a French Racing Car blue would be eye catching.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.... there is definitely a preconceived idea about suppressors out there that needs an adjustment if they are ever going to be mainstream.

Canned cycles have done wonders for the length of code files as well as Cam programs
have made the little changes much easier, but that does not stop me from wanting
to ring a project managers neck.

With the programs for these parts I expected a lot of changes as it was all development
and we do not want any problems once they hit the market.

The manufacture I am working with is equipped with Haas CNC equipment (lathe & mill) and is very much open to the idea of working with other 07/02's making suppressors parts. Production can be scaled to fit your needs in terms of quantities of parts, and scheduled as so many per month or a one time run....what ever suits your situation. We know there are lots of folks out there that don't have the kind of equipment required to be able to go into production on any significant scale and we would be glad to help out with production of baffles, endcaps, monocores, ect. Please contact me if this sounds like something of interest, and I can give you more information.

All I have at the moment is the video of my original form 1....don't have two Mk 2's with the same length barrel to do a side by side comparison of the original to the CNC version, but the best I can tell swapping them out on the same pistol the CNC version is a little quieter. It has a good bit more internal volume then the one I did on the manual mill.

As soon as we have the final version ready to go we will definitely get some video tests posted. Plan to drive down to Arkansas to get it tested as soon as we can, so maybe we can shoot some video then as well.

Looks like something is screwed up with the original video, I will upload it again and post it ASAP.

Again this is the original form 1 can, not the new CNC version. More to come when I get the finished CNC version.

The video shows the performance on Ruger Mk2, 10/22, 96/22 and gives unsuppressed shots on each firearm. I also made sure to allow fresh air in the can before each host test so you can listen for FRP.

Historian....seems like most of that stuff is fair game over in "artistic images".....still scratching my head on 96, are they back to back rubbing butts or what?...seems like the possibilities are not as interesting as 69.....but we digress. Glad I'm not the only one regularly dragging my brain around in the gutter.
