Swimming Pools Next on NFA Silencer List??

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Swimming Pools Next on NFA Silencer List??

Well done high speed filming of firing of AK underwater with the concomitant
technical analysis. This information
might be useful for visualizing cavitation in a suppressor for designs.

Firing a weapon underwater seems to be the ultimate suppressor if
the bullet exists into the air.

Wonder how long obtaining a stamp would take to be allowed to use
water cans or your swimming pool at the range. :)

I used to use my parents' lake house in Arkansas as a place to experiment with salutes.

You can get a good idea what 4 ounces of perchlorate and aluminum can do even under 5 feet of water, without rattling windows for a mile around. Although once I had a floater... as that fuse burned down, it was a serious "oh s--t" moment. The results were spectacular.

Disclaimer - this was decades ago. I no longer make salutes, although I can and do make a black powder faster than Goex, for 75 cents a pound. It's a skill I value for TEOTW applications.

Summary - bodies of water go well with man-hobbies of all types!

None that I know of, but the rolling echoes were impressive.

Arkansas is good people. If you don't hurt anything, you're generally left alone.
