Looking For METRIC Die Chart

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Looking For METRIC Die Chart

Post by Generation_Kill »

I can't seem to find a metric die chart that gives the outer diameter required to thread.

Specifically looking for the outer diameter to thread m26x1.5

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!!

Metric is easy, it's in the thread name.
Major diameter M26 = 26mm (1.024")
Thread pitch x1.5mm (0.059")

Here's a chart (with tolerances) for future reference:

I prefer to keep my OD threads to 0,05-0,10mm below nominal diameter.

G'Day Fella's,

Gen_K, as has already been stated and also, the M in M26 is for "Metric" and 1.5 is the Pitch in this case 1.5mm!
I would usually machine the major diameter to, in this case 25.95 or 25.90mm prior to cutting the thread!!!

Hope that helps

Doh!

Old Topic, I know, but may be of Interest for some:

Hole Size for Metric ID Threads is Nominal Diameter Minus Pitch. So for M26x1.5 you'd need to Drill or Bore to 26-1.5=24.5mm
