Finally Done!
Wish I would of took some pics of milling the parts, I would of deleted the times blood was added.
Anyway...started out as a MKII Bull Barrel Target.
Had to plan in an adapter as the 1" OD (.065" wall) Stainless Tube just slides over a stock Bull barrel.
The next smaller wall was .049"....thought that may be too thin for 24 TPI threads that go .028" deep.
Everything is 316 Stainless, yes it added some weight.
Was thinking if I ran out of ammo, I could just beat them to death with it.
Suppressor tube and endcap are 9", overall weapon now measures 14.25" long.
Weight??
Original barrel is rear threaded 9/16x16 to accept adapter
Barrel is cut down to 4 3/8" and threaded 1/2x28
Three 1/8" ports are drilled at noon-four-eight o'clock
Forward support with blast chamber brings length to 4 7/8"
A .020" thick spacer keeps the crud venting out the ports off the inside wall of the suppressor tube.
Spacer really aids in dis-assembly.
24 TPI adapter with oring.
Rear Reflex chamber assembly
24 TPI adapter, .020" thick spacer, forward support with blast chamber
Blast Chamber
Modified "K/Blast" Baffle and K Baffle
I needed to take up some unused space after making the (7) K Baffles.
Using a "necked" K in this area was more appealing to me than just adding a spacer at the endcap.
1" OD tube worked great.
Endcap
This was another GREAT project to do.....took awhile as I was doing a 10/22 at the same time.

Very nice! How is the function with the short barrel and ports? A bunch of folks I know are doing uber short MK(i, ii, iii's) for screw-on cans and I've heard there can be some reliability issues. They are doing like 2" barrels though.

So did I miss it? Can't see where you've said how it sounds. And a question; have you a figure for the volume of air in the over the barrel area? Doesn't look very large considering the 3 x 1/8" ports. Just a couple of cubic centimetres? I'm probably missing something... but it seems the sleeve between the barrel and the outer tube is filling most of that volume, negating much benefit of the expansion space. Pretty result though. A very sleek looking pistol.

CCI Sub's and Standards run at 950fps, CCI Hi Velocity's run 1050fps.
With my Chrono I found the sweet spot is between 4" and 5", in keeping things subsonic and cycling.
There is a lot of information on this site with short barrel 22's.
Wasn't looking at doing a shorty like others, although those are compact.
This integral is still shorter than my 22/45 with my 8" form 1 screw on.

It is really quiet.a_canadian wrote:So did I miss it? Can't see where you've said how it sounds. And a question; have you a figure for the volume of air in the over the barrel area? Holding the bolt closed with my thumb, you hear the hammer drop and the hiss of gas escaping.... and a thud downrange.
Barrel OD is .520" and the inside of the spacer is .800". That leaves a space .140" around the barrel x 1.50" long.
Could do a fluild test and see how much volume the ports are dumping into.
Other members here have posted that ports dump a lot more than redirecting the gases back
through a support like mine if it would be drilled out to be a true "reflex".

Re: Ruger MKII Integral
Okay, with those numbers and with my bad math I'm coming up with 0.490 cubic inches volume over the barrel. Not a lot but enough it seems, as quiet is the goal here and quiet is what you're reporting. Interesting. How'd you de-burr the ports?

Had my local Class 02 Mfr do it for me....he had the tool.a_canadian wrote:How'd you de-burr the ports?
Someone here had suggested to go in and back bore your barrel just past the ports to eliminate the worry of the burrs.
Turning the ported area into a muzzle brake.

Ah yes, special tooling. I've considered porting but with just a Dremel ball cutter to de-burr with I'm rather hesitant.

Re: Ruger MKII Integral
UPDATE.....Finally got my scale back
Suppressor tube, End Cap and Baffle Stack .... 11.2 oz
MKII (w/Red dot) and Rear Assembly .... 2 lbs 7.5 oz
I did not want to remove the red dot as I just zero'd it. I had another and it weighs 6 oz.
Total assembly .... 3 lbs 2.6 oz
(Factory MKII Target is 2 lbs 10 oz, per Ruger's website)
That's only 9 oz over a stock MKII Target, less the 6 oz for the red dot.....THAT'S A NET GAIN OF 3 oz
+ or - as I didn't have a magazine in.
Pic of the Blast Baffle....Cool

This was good the first time around even better now & again.
The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!
