My father had this plumbing part kicking around on his desk and I thought it was about as close to a cone you could get off the shelf. I will try to get some detail on where its from but it seems like with a little work it could be made into an easy .22 can.

Fascinating.
It is maddeningly familiar.
First thought - vaguely remember seeing this sort of shape long ago in some
Kohler catalog shower mixer insert but it addition had some threads. Will
try to trigger recall with some coffee.
Where are Dick's Watergate PLUMBERS now that you need them.
Coffee! Part from an espresso machine? e.g., porta filter.
I'm trying, guys.

That would be pretty nice! Hold em in a lathe or anything really and cut some out of the back with a countersink. But otherwise the face looks good to go.

That looks to be a drywall texture gun nozzle, usually chrome plated brass or pot metal. Ebay listing showing the nozzle.

That particular nozzle measures 8mm for the core or .31", so about .06" too big a hole for .22" use. Maybe they make smaller ones.

Excellent! Of course, now that youapd855 wrote:That looks to be a drywall texture gun nozzle, usually chrome plated brass or pot metal. Ebay listing showing the nozzle.

point it out.
Makes so much more sense. Guess I will not fit one in
my Francis Francis Espresso machine after all.
Best.

looks like there also used to spray bed liner texture. There soft but who knows they could be cheap parts mounted down stream in a .22 can.

As thick as they look, they could be made of papier mache and probably still work in a .22 can.
