I happily stumbled onto a clever, creative, and generous British
poster on YouTube showing his projects. It is like being allowed
to visit a master machinist who happily explains his design
thought processes and how he executes them.
At least for me I have picked up at least five techniques, including
how to use my new Dewalt Chop Saw.
Just from his "Homemade Tapping Machine" I picked a up
novel setup that will greatly simplify my making a unique
forearm band for my nonstandard hybrid barrel/forearm set up
to speed field assembly.
I would be remiss if I did not pass on pointers to these set of instructive videos.
For those who are got authorization to 'roll their own' one can extrapolate how
to hold, bore, and build appropriate/useful jigs. One's imagination is the only
limiter.
