Desktop CNC

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

The potential for a small shop is endless. For under $1500 Im very very interested. Wonder about its steel capabilities.

That's the first time I have saw those, its sure different. I can recommend a taig 2019 mill for a small mill. I had one till my shop burnt down in August. I mainly used it for engraving but there were times I cut 316L and 17-4 on it, it would take a full diameter cut with a .125" end mill .05 deep, pretty impressive for a small mill like that. There is a guy called deepgroove1 on ebay that sells them ready to go for $1750 all you need is a computer it even comes with the license for Mach3 software.

Very cool . . .

I think there is a definite future in hobbyist/sub $10k CNC machines.

Trying to develop a retrofit deal right now with a friend of mine for manual lathes using a tablet/wi-fi

There has been hobbyist/sub 10K CNC machines for the last 7 years that I know of.
