Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

I would like some opinions on this "solvent trap kit" for the basis of my first Form 1 build. Intended use is for suppressed supersonic 6.8 or .308 use. Thanks.

I'm sure it would work at least once.

Please follow all NFA laws.

Use either SS, 4130, or Ti Grade 9 @ .065 wall thickness for a tube that will handle rifle pressures.

OK, where would I get a tube like that already threaded for the end cap and muzzle adapter?

At least in the 1960's "Honey Traps*" were worth the risk to some. :)

Of course not intimating anything about the accessories for a Mag-Lite
on the site discussed above.

Ref.: Honey Trap (Coronet Books) Paperback – March 1, 1989
A good read and parable for the novice.

Headline in UK papers then: "Chicken Catch-a-Tory"
for those who savored Italian recipes.

From the Amazon Book Review:

"In 1963, it was learned that Defence Minister, John Profumo, had had an affair with 19-year old Christine Keeler
who was also seeing a Soviet diplomat and suspected spy, Eugene Ivanov.
The resulting scandal saw the death, an apparent suicide, of society osteopath Stephen Ward
(who brought them together) and is widely regarded as contributing to the resignation
of Prime Minister Harold Macmillan through ill health and
the defeat of the Tory government at the next election ..."

Feels like a Trap, it shows up then they show up . Personally I say stay away, for $200 not worth the hassle just send out the form 1 And be patient.

It isn't a trap. There are a lot of people who are using preppersdiscount and sdta stuff. There's like a 30 page thread over on ar15.com about it.

I read about it on the internet so it isn't a trap.

I saw this at SHOT show last year and couldn't believe it. This will go badly some day.

Stuff like this is what caused the "suppressor part" ruling.
