300BLK Integral Suppressor

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Careful now. Mentioning 'the mouse' without prior permission from the registered trade mark owner can get one in a big ol' heap of lawyer trouble. Just sayin', since it seems to many around here get bristly about IP law and suppressor baffle design. There are other areas of IP law where the lawyers are MUCH better funded and more deeply committed to evil than those employed by suppressor manufacturers. I've heard some things about messing with Disney IP... you do not want to go there.

Good thing the "Mouse" you are referring to is spelled a different way. Just sayin' :D

If you do a Google Image search of "Micky's Ears", only 5% of the first 100 pics show the actual Disney character. I think you're safe, for now.

I would start out with a 6" barrel and use a full length tube that covers the whole barrel. If you turn the barrel to fit snug inside the tube that will align it for you, then just weld the tube on and have the muzzle end of the tube threaded for the end cap. By going with a 6" barrel you could have 10" of suppressor and just be to non sbr length. With 1" diameter 10" should be enough cone baffles for good suppression.
Would a 1" diameter tube work well with a .38/.357 even if the tube had to be longer? I want to build a stealthy integral that is compatible with Ohio's new hunting laws. Of course a bigger caliber would be better but only if the tube were slim.
There are trade-offs. Lengthening the tube aids w wave functions. But slender OD matched to large Bore dia means that much gas simply slips down the boreline. That's why you need assymetric bore aperatures to redirect the gas off boreline. Ks would be best for .38/.357, but notched cones can also work. If you are firing swaged rds instead of copper jacket, be prepared for lead welding and needing to use "the Dip" every 1000rds. W tight bore tolerance you may need the Dip even more often to insure no baffle strikes.

SEG Suppressors just built this badass 300Blk gun and the Suppressor is under the SLR slim handgaurd. They make multiple size cans and can adapt to any handgaurd ID. This particular one is a 8.5" barrel and 15" SLR Ultralite Keymod Handgaurd, and is full auto. Image
