Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Nice! Beautiful machine work.
'Goteron' did something similar to put a brake on an AAC Miter mount.
Are they secured by anything but threads? Send it to me and I'll laser weld the joint (no charge) if you want to make it permanent.

I love this style FH and you have done justice to the design.I like the porting change going from a four square to rows.I would change the prong count to allow fence cutting.I'm not much on bell's and whistles but have seen the practicality of this in the field.
Yours is much more handsome then its grand pappy.

The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

Love it! Makes me think I might give it a go with a threaded taper mount too. I was just going to buy/build a brake but I like the looks of this much better and don't NEED a full on brake for 223.

Johnny, great job.
Here are the questions.
What material did you use ? 17/4?
Wall thickness of the cylindrical part?
What port size did you drill?
Lots of holes, 89??
the 7,62 model seems to have an endcap welded to it so it has a reaction plate / Baffle in-between the front and rear rows.

Great job! When do they go into production?

I'll take the first, have an SBR that it would go great on.
