Form 1 as an 07/02 owner

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the great info on these forums!
I am newer to the NFA world. I own and run a gunmsithing shop. It is an 07/02.

I know I can make a suppressor and form 2 it, then form 4 it to my trust.

Can I get a form 1 for the trust and make it at the shop?

No plans of anything right now, just curious.

From what I understand is you can, your shop is already licensed to make NFA weapons, and your the owner. You can just form 1 it to yourself no problem.

You can Form1 it yourself, however since your shop is an 07/02 you will run into a number of issues.

If you want to chat about it PM me your number and a good time to call and I will go over it.

Sorry guys, not going to expand on that... it applies to 1% of the people and there is already plenty of confusion on the boards.
