For 9mm in particular, any harm using these coated cast 147 grain bullets for subsonic loads in a suppressor? XTPs are getting expensive & the plated RN look just like all my other 9mm ammo once loaded (I like that all my subsonic ammo is easy to tell apart just at a glance). I like the price!

I wouldn't hesitate to use those bullets.

Isn't powder coating a option. ..
Also if it's a can that isn't sealed couldn't it easily be cleaned
Thus allowing cast ammo. .. This was my interpretation
Which is why I am building a can so I can shoot cast and clean it

If they are completely encapsulated then yes PC is an option to allow you to shoot cast pills.

Cast is fine I shoot 99% reloads and out of those 99% are cast.
if you use plated watch your crimp.
Had a problem with them in a friends FA mini uzi and MK9.
Tore the can apart at the end of the day to find copper shavings in it.
We figured it was the crimp. He reduced crimp on his loads and hasn't had that problem since.
Same goes for cast don't over crimp.
