cyclone is designed for a specific reason ...bolt action rifle , that's why the blast chamber is so small , you see the stack but there are small hidden features that makes the difference ,
you need no to make that long a 300blk can , my desing above is simple and works really good , that blast baffle is patented although srt design is much more than that , i mean really complicated , i think mr.Melton will understand you , looking that you are borrowing only one baffle and will be happy looking that his invention works that great on reducing blowback

Not in the cyclone. They wanted no possible influence on bullet travel. If clipped it could possible had less baffles and shorter. Possibly

Holy thread drift, but I think we're back on track. I've updated my design based on the input here. 5/8" baffle spacing, 4 middle baffles clipped, rear cap/blast chamber changed to interface to the Griffin taper mount. CAD estimate of 1.13 lbs. with 316 SS. OAL is at 7.5" now.

Looks good, but I'd clip the 2nd baffle too. You shouldn't have to worry about bullet instability after the blast baffle and brake strip the majority of bore jet.
And you might want to check out viewtopic.php?f=10&t=132891 It discusses endcap features. That would also add dwell time.
