Long time reader, first time poster. Figured I'd share my recently completed Form 1.
8" x 1.625" Ti "solvent trap" from Diversified Machine. 6 freeze plug baffles, Ti spacer tubes. Mounts to YHM QD's.
Came in at exactly 1 lb.
It's hard for me to say I built this can, since very little was needed to go from "solvent trap" to suppressor, but I'm excited none the less.
Form 1 .308 Can Complete
Re: Form 1 .308 Can Complete
Nice looking job!
I've been looking for a web page for diversified, but no go. Do you have any contact info?
Thanks,
Jon

A quick comparison between the muzzle brake and the can with my phone's camera:

This is bulk XM193 5.56 through a .308 can.

So what parts are able to be bought from diversified machine as a solvent trap?

Tube, end caps, spacers...
Re: Form 1 .308 Can Complete
How big long is your blast baffle spacer?
I am using the same qd mount and am curious

Nice, and a really good final weight for a suppressor that size. I had built 2 on the Diversified Machine 1.625" Ti Tubes and one on the 1.5" Ti. Going to test anodizing my "bare" one.

Pdsmith505, your final package, presentation, and video are top notch!
Most appreciative for your showing and bringing a smile to our face.
Welcome!
Your friend's calling your rifle a gun made me chuckle remembering my first reading of that great
book "Battle Cry" - Leon Uris 1953. The DI indelibly corrected a boot's
never forgetting the difference between a rifle and gun by making him walk around
holding his rifle in one hand and with his shorts down his 'gun' repeating:
"This is my Rifle. This is my gun.
This is for fighting. This is for fun".
Best.

Thanks everyone, this seems like a really good community and I'm happy to finally be a part of it.
King9:
I'm not entirely sure. I want to say 2"... front to back, it's end cap <- spacer <- freeze plug <- spacer <- plug <- space <- plug <- spacer <- plug <- spacer <- plug <- spacer <- plug <- blast spacer <-end cap. I can measure it next time I take it apart.
c5_nc:
Your posts led me to Diversified as opposed to SDTA.
All:
Here's three more videos from today and some pictures. Rifle was zero'd prior to suppressor.
100 yds:
10 clicks up (1 mil) and a removing some operator error:
Comparison to 20" w/ A2 flash hider:

Comparison to Ruger 10/22:

Roughly shooter's position 200yds and 300yds:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEdIsTBMvLY
300 yd group. Elevation change was per the markings on my scope's turrets. Forgot to bring targets, so I was aiming at an old shoot-n-see that didn't perform on the "see" part. New holes showed up in the wood backer though. Group was low and right roughly 3" in both directions. 7 shots at this range.
Finally, just for fun:

Nicely Done I just e-mailed diversified machine for my Form 1. I was not looking forward to trying to cut internal threads on a Ti tube. I would likely still do my own baffle as I don't want the freeze plugs.

Re: Form 1 .308 Can Complete
Small update:
Had a chance to compare my form 1 to a YHM .30 cal phantom on my 10" 300 blk pistol with subs at my friendly local class 3/sot/cerakote dealer today.
Subjectively, Form 1 was only the tinyest bit louder than the YHM.
Same length, 1/8 more diameter... so volume might have compensated for baffle design, but I'm happy.
