Backgears engaged and turning at 28 rpm. Internal threading a tube, 60* V threads.
Should I run the misting cooling system or put cutting oil on the tube?
What's better to cut threads in titanium?

I run my lathe in back gears and use heavy cutting oil.

I use back gear ~60 rpm, heavy dark cutting oil (mobil 760) and indexable carbide

Mist coolant works great, alot easier to clean up as well over oil.
Ran it around 50 and it was too slow for titanium and generated way too much heat.
I run confortably on the manual at 150-200 rpm, on the cnc I run around 500-600rpm.

Time is not money for me and I do not "push" my machining projects at home or work.
I did use carbide tooling and the dark thread cutting oil you can get at Home Depot or Lowe's for pipe threading.
