By virtue of my job I have access to some high speed cameras so I used on this weekend to film my From 1 45 ACP suppressor cycling on my 1911. The spring in the booster was just a wild ass guess for spring and mostly chosen cause it fit the dimensions I needed. It worked 100% from day 1 but I was never sure if it was working fully and correctly. I think from this video I can say that its just right. This is shot at 5000 frames per second. I couldnt go any higher without really sacrificing quality and FOV.

And so you can hear what the form 1 cans sound like, here is a video of my little brother and sister shooting then side by side. They were extremely excited about shooting suppressed.

For future watchers, skip the first 2 minutes of the first video
For the second video it would have been much more effective to have them shoot consecutively instead of concurrently. The sounds just mix together.

Awesome video, I've been looking for one that showed it this clearly for a while. What I find interesting, is it looks like the barrel and slide are unlocked at the point the bullet exits the suppressor.

Haha. Yea. That is a 4.5 second video in real time. At 5000fps it becomes 8.5 minutes.Pineapple Devil wrote:For future watchers, skip the first 2 minutes of the first video

I edited the video to remove that first ~2 minutes of nothing. It starts immediately now.
