Full length suppressor/integral suppressor

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Are you trying to avoid the SBR tax by making the barrel/silencer assembly >16" Are you able to extend the tube back to the front of the action?

Randy
SilencerTalk was a place I could disccuss making registered silencers without being told I was a criminal. That is no longer true. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=132&t=99273

"Jekyll"

Welcome to ST.
Where are you located, country / area?
What Rifle (Brand-Model) do you have right now and what calibers do you already use.
Are you bound to the 30CM? Do you want to use Subs only or HV as well.

You mentioned that you already have lots of front mounted Silencers, are these F1 silencers or bought?
We are always curios to know what brands people are using and what they like about them.
Knowing all the extra information might help out a bit already, also post some of your designs that way ST Readers here can chip in and give you pointers.

We have a 30 cm limit on barrel length (45 in Sweden).

I have/had S&L, SAI, MAE, SAK, Ase Utra suppressors. Some better than others. I prefer my handy Ase Utra SL5 for general use on my 6,5x55 and .308win.
All my suppressors are factory made.

I believe I can make the suppressor all the way back to the action.

The full length suppressor is meant for use with mainly subsonics, and partially hv bullets. Something that can handle both.

So I expect you live in Norway, nit sure.
Silencer rules in the nordic countries are nice.

Still interested in finding out what weapon you are going to use and are you going for Subsonic only or also for High Velocity. as this wil have to do with baffle design and construction.

What can the maximum diameter of your tube be over the barrel, for that rifle?

Here is a link to a 45acp, bolt rifle, I did.
The same principles can be applied to your application.
I'd probably vent, into the over-barrel-tube, a bit differently, with the larger .308 case.

You're somewhat vague with your intended purpose.
What is your expected range and accuracy requirements? This will correlate to a needed barrel length.
Expected OAL and Weight? Design criteria and materials of construction.

If this was a Subsonic only build, you could get away with some baffles being Aluminium. However, if you plan to fire supers through this rifle, you're going to want something heftier for the primary baffles (SS).

K-Baffles would be a first choice, but with your intent to use super-sonic ammo, at times, you might want to employ all cones.

Decisions, decisions..... :)

My thought to

Some other EU countries that have the 30cm rule do not allow silencers.....

Naming several EU silencer manufacturers is not that hard.
