With the possibility of dropping suppressors off the NFA registry how many of you will pursue integral designs over removable ones.

De-regulation and suppressor choice.
The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

If there was no wait and no tax... I'd have a can for every gun that could take one.
Further, something tells me that Ruger (for example) would produce 22/45's and 10/22's with integrated suppressors from the factory, and they'd be the highest selling models.

I thought we were already doing that!

THERE WOULD BE testing testing testing and more testing.
Re: De-regulation and suppressor choice.
Yes.
And it's what I will recommend to people who ask.
I would expect more integral offerings from manufacturers eventually but it seems like there is a good opportunity to fill that gap.

For replacable barrels like 10/22, yes.
For bolt-actions and pistols, I'd prefer to use them on multiple hosts.
It's hard for me to invision them on AKs, etc. What would be the adv?

Re: De-regulation and suppressor choice.
I'm hoping that research will go along with the mainstreaming of the integral.It was noted in a thread that suppressor science has been more or less stuck in technology that dates back to the time of Maxim.The only notable exceptions are the the OSS and the HFFS (helical free flow suppressor) in which neither one uses containment.
PV=nRT
P is the pressure of the gas
V is the volume of the gas
n is the amount of substance of gas (also known as number of moles)
R is the ideal, or universal, gas constant, equal to the product of the Boltzmann constant and the Avogadro constant.
T is the temperature of the gas
This is the standard equation that most of us are familiar with.If you study the progression of suppressor science it appears that we went from heat adsorption thru metal packing's to adding time to the equation with the end result of lower pressure by retaining gases longer.
I speculate that suppressors will get larger with more emphasis on lowering the heat signature in the near future.
PV=nRT/t
t=time May be a closer expression?
Any thoughts on this or where you think the technology will go with DE-regulation.I emphasize loosing the regulatory side should encourage free thinkers to again be part of development.
whiterussian1974: A integral on a AK type action could also suppress the gas system which is loud.Also selective venting could give the operator the choice of super or subsonic.This could be seen as a tactical advantage or liability.

Being 'Old School' first choices will be 2 Rugers, 2 Dead Air cansCapt. Link. wrote:With the possibility of dropping suppressors off the NFA registry how many of you will pursue integral designs over removable ones.

for Bully Barrel. {Back up. Back up, Back up]
Then commission Good Captain to make a 'Kryptonite' sleeve to lead
baffles from Ruger to make 9.5" Artillery-Luger can. Each baffle
no longer considered a total can.
Best of all worlds ... 5" Ruger and TelySL9,
Same for Dead Air system .
With the savings of $800.00 from Stamps total for 4 cans
one get two for free.
Brings back manufacturing back to USA.
For 1911A1 .45 with Bar-Sto ... too heady to contemplate.
