The two I just got back (also 1 can and 1 sbr) were about 3.5 months.

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
I can dream...most recent for me was submitted 12/22 for a form 1 sbr. Still pending. I miss 30 day approvals already.T-Rex wrote:I was just checking NFATRACKER and saw 2 efiled form-1's (1 sbr, 1 can) go in under 50 days

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
I got one back last week that was submitted November 17. I filed one the day 41F dropped...I'm betting it will take somewhat longer.

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
Guess I need to submit one for a 45acp suppressor build, last one came back in under 30 days. Then it sat for a year until I built it for a 300 blk

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
Bet folks inundated at ATF are also waiting with baited breath
for HPA to pass so that they can finally be used for real
bad-guy chasing.
In fact the harried form staff should lobby their SES's
to call over to Congress and tell them to 'Clinton in',
i.e., slip in quietly, the HPA into a 3,000 page appropriations
bill at midnight.

A bump to keep from starting a new thread;
Just got 2 form 1's back approved, one for SBR, one for Suppressor. Both filed 1/4/16, approved 4/8/16.....98 days.

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
Probably Damon Wright or Diane Wood on the first one, and Robert S. Leonard on the 2nd (at least those are names that come up on NFA Tracker as approvers.)

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
Well, for my first post I'll toss in my Form 1 to see how long it takes. I filed on-line Sunday night (4-10-2016), and it's now listed as "SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS" - I saw somewhere it listed the folks who approved listed by section of country. Did I imagine that?
Great site here - I've been lurking/reading for a while now.

The one I submitted on 1/11 came back on 4/13. You should be getting your email from the ATF any day now.pdsmith505 wrote:I'm still waiting on a SBR form 1 from Jan 15...

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
That's what I keep telling myself... but I got a buddy who's stamp came back several days ago, and he filed several days after me.Fulliautomatix wrote: The one I submitted on 1/11 came back on 4/13. You should be getting your email from the ATF any day now.
Damnit! It's my turn!
Re: BATFE E-File wait times
I never got an email from the ATF, it just showed up in Efile as approved on day, and yes I checked it at least once a day.
Re: BATFE E-File wait times
I filed 12/22/15 and received 3/29/16 for my SBR
I filed another 4/16/16 for a 60mm Mortar. I'm betting this one takes longer than the last.

The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

Re: BATFE E-File wait times
Do you have to register the tube, shells or both? Are you buying real, using practice or your own shells?

From what I have experience. The tube for the 60 mm mortar will have to be register, also the shells that are real plosives are registered to. Each one with the cost of it plus a $200 tax debt. It is fake the no, just have some pyrotechnics in a little trainer in your set.
Re: BATFE E-File wait times
Technically you register the cup even though it is just a "firearm" until you have a tube attached to it. Then yes if you were to have actual HE rounds each would require a stamp but the storage requirements are extensive. I just plan on shooting M69, M766, and M720 training rounds as well as aluminum bud light bottles filled with plaster and a 5/8-18 nut for attaching the fins. 35gr of bullseye in a 20ga shell for a lift charge.T-Rex wrote:Do you have to register the tube, shells or both? It will most likely be a few time a year thing to take out and have some fun with but I've always wanted one.
Capt I will definitely share details as I piece it together. It's going to take some time to do as most surplus parts are expensive. I plan on making the cup myself, the tube will be 2.375 ID DOM tubing and I'll be making fin assemblies or trimming rounds to fit.
The bipod and baseplate I may cobble together one to get it in firing condition then buy surplus as I find the money. There is a nice parts kit for 1400 with de-milled tube and cup.
