CVD Surface Treatments for Inhibition of Carbon Fouling of Steel Components

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

CVD Surface Treatments for Inhibition of Carbon Fouling of Steel Components

Post by Capt. Link. »

I ran across this bit of information from http://www.SilcoTek.com.They have a product called SilcoKlean®1000.While not available yet you never know what other services company's in the business may offer in the future.A suppressor coated with this would be easy to clean.

The DOT 5 brake fluid / silicone oil looks like it does have a positive impact on ease of cleaning and I plan on giving it a try.
