WTF item of the week!

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Keen eye! It does have a pressure bleed off so you are on the right path.

It has a lead slug in a brass reduced base casing. So not caseless.
Pingun or needlefire seem on track. It's not Rimfire and can't see an exposed primer. So firing pin must puncture primer inside of head.

whiterussian1974: No internal primer or are you still going around in circles.

Grounded: I would think its a type of proportional control.
1) is this of historical importance as far as the craft it was used in.

does this belong on a Sikorsky? is the one side up top a v-band? not sure it can still be called modern with that clock, maybe if it were wifi enabled lcd screen it could make its way back into being modern art category, but as-is, a relic.

Capt.

Maybe some breechloading conversion of a muzzle loader, that still used caps for igniting the blackpowder charge in the case.
The hole is the transfer port for the flame.

I'll be back with more.

Still no correct answer.
The bottom, against the welding table, is open ended to accept "parts".
This is another one I'm building. The other one is in the field being used/tested.

It could "house" any # of things. W/o seeing the parts, it'll be mighty tough to guess its precise function.
Obviously it involves centripital force. Whoether air or liquid is unknown. Oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid, etc. If it doesn't power (b/c no moving parts) then probably a filter.
We need to see it installed or the internal parts.
