WTF item of the week!

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

As a 1460, I'm not qualified to give a good answer to that... I think we'd need a 1200 to get the right answer :?

You are sort of close.
It isn't a printer and the drive it is attached to can be SCSI, Or Fiber or ESCON or FICON attached. It is used for data backup and archiving. It is however missing some slots but not for disk drives.

I thought that painting was just a joke, not an actual submission.
It's obviously an oil on canvas by Philadelphia area painter Nelson Shanks of Bill posing for portrait where Monica "accidentally" is captured in frame. (I wonder what she was doing down there? Probably picking up some dropped papers.    )
http://whistleblower-newswire.com/2015/03/03/

Here's one of "Monica on my Mind" waiting patiently just outside of frame.
"Six years after the portrait was unveiled, artist Nelson Shanks revealed the shadow near the mantelpiece Clinton is leaning on is actually the infamous dress worn by Lewinsky."

Humor in politics is nothing new and could pull out a few from the right hand isle as well.
I'm currently collecting old porno mags for a library donation myself.I can get the address for others that would like to see this ancient form of entertainment preserved for future generations.

Will a Public Library accept such donations? Maybe they'll create a "Private Reading Room" for enjoyment. (I'd hate to clean THAT room. )
There are already Net Archives that preserve this art form. (I truly and unsarc believe that it IS art in the vein of Greco-Roman Statues and Frescos.)
It's a pity that Local Standards can criminalize such art as Pornographic. (MIchelangelo's DAVID as an example.)

I'll post this WTF as Lynda Carter's 1977 Emmy Award broach. But really I just thought that I'd pass the photo along since I can't think of any unknown objects to post. 8)

Hammer heads are driven onto wooden shafts that either taper or swell w moisture to prevent slippage.

I don't know what it is, but not hammer mould.
---
The side hole is for blowing air into.

This expands the material to fit against the mould.

Like molten glass blown into a chalice or figurine. B/c solid glass object would weight too much and take up extra material, thus leading to longer cool times.

WR, you are fabulous again! We never had to Wonder about that lovely
and classy Woman, Linda Carter. Now if Predator-in-Chief
had a woman like Linda instead of Monica one might have some thread of respect
for that sewer.

A LEO question: if a person drives someone to a store, waits, and then that person runs out
having shot the propietor, will the driver, even though he had no knowledge of the
robbery, be tried along with the perp? Answer in most cases is yes.

Now, Slick Willie ( wagger ? ) has assaulted a myriad of women over the years, including
attempting to rape in the Oval Office the wife of his recently deceased friend. Though
she did not participate herself in the sexual assaults should not his wife, Madame Secretary,
who enabled him with AK special unit and James Carvel slime the victims and destroy their
reputations not be considered part of the sexual assaults. Talk about The War On Woman.
At least Evita Peron* was pretty and could sing.

Maybe Little-King** in a pantsuit could change the lyrics of Evita's "Love Me Argentina"
to "Love me, Bernie Sanders ... and get the hell out of my way". :) :)

Thank you for brightening up a dull
and dreary morning.

* Evita really ran Argentina while her Husband Juan would 'visit' pubescent
girls in convents.

In the bottom picture it looks like there is a hole in the other end.

Are there 3 holes? If so you better keep Russian away from it.

ETA: Looks to me like the clamp is made to accommodate something sticking out of the end. My guess is something slides into the end hole (holes?) and material is poured into the side hole. Could be something for adding weight to a shaft.

Looks to me two holes, The clamp I think has the bend in it to not block the hole for filling, my thoughts.

I see where you are going, but the hole sizes are tiny. Looks like you'd barely fit (2)-6awg cables into 1 hole. And with that size cable, you wouldn't need that much bonding metal. Usually, those types of molds split down the side, to permit the cables entering opposed.

Yes, only 2 holes.

Was it used as is or was other material added to the interior including metals or materials to form cast objects.
I'm guessing your friend cast jewelry or other small ornate items and this is a flask.

Cap, I have no clue what Jack used it for. I found it buried on a shelf, behind the Bridgeport, next to a diamond sharpening wheel.
I've never been aware of him making jewelry, but, then again, he may have picked it up and never used it.

You would honer your friend by using it.I suspect that it is a casting flask or could be used that way.
I have a piece of cookware that reminds me of a friend every time I use it.

Guess what I cooked in it. :D

My wife suggested that the 1st is water, but that 'potable' not 'edible.'
Your use of the term edible indicates that it might not be considered food. Just not harmful to orally consume.
And what can't be 'caught'? My wife suggested 'dreams', but it must be capturable in order to be containable. So that is a questionable word play.
'Fairies, unicorns, the horizon' are all uncatchable. But they couldn't be cooked in a container either.

Maybe rice? It contains both water, carbs, and some of the 8 essential Amino Acids. So that 'might' satisfy your requirements.
Heck, Gumbo would meet the stipulations for me!
