80% 60deg Cones

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

80% 60deg Cones

Post by sizulku »

Gents,

I need 17-4PH material for my next build but the shipping cost of 1.75in(OD) X 12in(L) bar stock from US to my country is very expensive.
I'm thinking to get a workshop to make 80% 60deg Cones baffle (the bore is not drilled) so I can save the shipping cost. Does it legal to do this?

This thread has been done several times before, I doubt the answers have changed.

If you don't already have the village idiot on ignore you'll have to skip around the thread for the real content.

I guess it kinda depends on the rules where you are , in the US , I can't see it being any different than buying freeze plugs for a mag light "solvent trap". They can't in any way be used for baffels until the bore hole is made
