Machining a Barrel and End Cap

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Clock barrels are made with close
fitting machined recessed end caps.

Those who work on making clocks are familiar with
the process shown in the following fun video. The machining
techniques are instructive and the skills acquired
transferable.

Blown away by the talent of a youngster in the South
who demonstrated turning a part by hand.

Compelled to share his talent with a technique for machining some
non-linear parts.
