SS Supressor Body

Starting to collect materials for a 30 cal suppressor. Looking at 304SS 1.5" X 0.065WT for the body. A lot of the tubing found on ebay or places such as Speedy Metals are not identified as seamless or welded. How important is it that this material be seamless? Should I expect any issues with an internal weld seam protrusion? What about the mechanical integrity of welded tubing?

its extremely critical, for the reasons you listed. if its not specifically noted as seamless, assume its not.

I bought my seamless 304 tubing from Online Metals. Someone else here posted that they got tubing that wasn't straight from those guys, but I have not had that issue.

If your OD is not super critical, you can buy 1-1/4" Sch80 Pipe and turn & bore it into your tubing.
Seamless and often cheaper than tubing.
