Diversified Machine lead time

On 4/22/16, Chris of Diversified Machine and I agreed that he would build 7 kits for me. Based on discussions online at that time, I expected about a 6 or slightly longer manufacturing time. On 7/29/16, I emailed Chris asking for an approximate expected completion date. On 9/16/16, Chris emailed me indicating that he had some parts complete but not all and asked if I wanted the order broken up or would I just wait til all were finished. On 9/17/16, I responded asking how long he thought it would be before the remainder was complete, but I did not receive a response. Since then, I emailed Chris on 9/26/16, 11/30/16 and 1/5/17 requesting a status update but I have received no response. I received BATF approval on my Form 1s in late September, so am anxious to get started with the builds. What are the recent experiences of others with Diversified?

I got a order from 4 16 a little over a week ago. I can send you his personal email or number if that helps. He had been overwhelmed with orders. Typically one would get a reply though.

Thanks c5_nc. Good to know. I know Chris has a great reputation for high quality products. Looks like that's just how long it takes for the good stuff.

I've ordered and received a couple of really nice Ti parts from Chris at DM in the past year, and I need one more thing - the brake-to-tube adapter... Just need to know if he's going to work on it for me. He's not answered any of my emails in the past 5-6 weeks, so I'd like to call him. If his work wasn't so nice, I'd move on. But it is.

I sent an email to DM two weeks ago, and a follow up email about a week ago. As of today, there's no response on either one. I'm really glad I came across this post so I know it's not just me he's avoiding. It's great to hear his business is picking up, but sucks b/c it's hard to get a response. Maybe he needs a secretary to handle his mails?

I read, on another board, that he has had the flu. However, this seems to be congruent w/ his communication SOP, for the past year or so. I've not heard of a single case where he defrauded anyone, but zero communication is not cool, either.
