Thinking about a f1 can

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

I'm thinking about submitting a form 1 for a silencer. I Have a coastal 22 can, a Hybrid, and looking at 30 cal cans. Also have 2 smg's. I got this idea because I wanted a sionics/mac silencer but don't think they are worth what one would cost me (can't find one in state).

My question is, Can I just weld the stainless zmachine baffles together and not use an outer tube?
