Re: problems with my glock and F1 can
Does it extract and not pick up the next round or does it stovepipe or does it double feed or does it not extract or does the slide not even unlock or something else?
How much does your F1 can weigh? How long is your F1 can?
Hold it tighter.

The Gemtech Multimount is close to 2" shorter and 4oz lighter than your can. Maybe the unlock/relock timing is off?
I've not tried Hush 165gr, how does it fare with 147gr ammo?
You might be able to keep messing with the recoil spring until it becomes mostly reliable but then to keep from beating up your slide when you run it unsuppressed you'll forever be swapping springs and wondering if you remembered to put the right one in last time.
Other than measuring the spring and trying to figure out what it takes to compress it on your own I don't have spec's for the Gemtech booster spring. Maybe someone here will have it handy. If you can figure that out maybe Wolff will have something close.

Re: problems with my glock and F1 can
You're claiming Failures to Extract as well as Failures to Eject. These are 2 different malfunctions.
Typical causes of Failure to Extract:
-Dirt and corrosion
-Damaged extractor
-Defective cartridge
Typical causes of Failure to Eject:
-Dirt and corrosion
-Limp wristing of pistol
-Defective ammunition
-Faulty ejection mechanism
-Spin back
Is your pistol clean and lubed?
Are you holding the pistol firmly?
Have you tried different ammunition?
For reference, my Octane45 is 12oz and functions perfectly on a stock G23.

Re: problems with my glock and F1 can
beyond my experience or skills, all I can do is google that one, theoretically you can calculate an approximate valueIrishguy wrote:... how to i measure the compression of it?
To accurately replace it you'll also need the diameter of the wire, coil count and material (assume some form of stainless) for starters.Irishguy wrote:...
The spring is 1.243 long .843 wide ...
Octane booster of course. It may act differently if you adapted it to a Gemtech booster.T-Rex wrote:...

Re: problems with my glock and F1 can
You'd have to rig up a scale or known weight and measure how much force compresses the spring how far.
pounds per inch is the unit of spring force within a springs linear range. Force of compression divided by distance of compression is how you calculate it. Don't compress the spring all the way when measuring, that will take you out of the springs linear range.

Re: problems with my glock and F1 can
Maybe, I'd have to take mine apart to measure it.Irishguy wrote:free length : 1.243 long OD.843 ID .645 wire dia .099 6 coils coil space is 0.165 77.4 # per inch
does that sound right?
Still out of my wheelhouse but with that data you should be able to find comparable springs. I'm assuming some kind of stainless, maybe 302.
