End cap has 13/16x 16 threads. Which flash suppressor to get?

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

End cap has 13/16x 16 threads. Which flash suppressor to get?

Post by Witchgrass »

I’m working out details on a Form One that im wanting to build. The end cap has 13/16 x 16 threads. My 6.5 CM barrel and 5/8” threads, and my 5.56 AR barrel has 1/2” threads. Which flash suppressor/muzzle breaks should I get to be able to use the can on both guns? These will not be rapid fire gun. Mostly Bench shooting. Don’t really think I need a quick attach, but I’m open to suggestions.

Ebay. Have a couple 5/8"-24 and 1/2"-28 with those outer thread diameters and they are dead nuts. Cheap too. ~$35.

Make sure it has a nice flat below the external threads like the above.

Don't use the washer provided and if you care about the clocking of the brake, get some shims.

Thank you, that’s what I needed!

Are you making you own end caps? if so use a SD Tactical Muzzle Brake and thread the interior of the Cap to match. IIRC 13/16 x 12 ACME might be 3/4 x 12 acme.

There are some (or were) companies that sold caps with the 13/16-16 thread. I liked these brakes so much, I made an front cap to fit on a DM 1.5 tube.
