form 1 info

What will I need before I start the e-file form 1 ?

Pictures. fingerprint cards.


I know I cant start building until approved, I want to get started but never done anything like this.

I've never been able to complete an efile.

With that said, you'll need a 2x2" passport style photo. I think you have to print and mail the copy to the CLEO yourself. ???

and I have always included 2 copies of the certificate of compliance that says that I certify that I am a US citizen. I'm not really sure they're still required now that they have changed the Form1's that basically checkmark that you are a US citizen now.

I've heard that efile applications are only taking a few weeks. That's awesome.

You can file first, as long as you have length and caliber decided on

This isn't even set in stone as you can say it'll be a 1" 22lr and amend the form 1, once approved, to a 9" 30cal (or whatever). The amendment doesn't usually take more than a 10 days.

AFAIK, there's just a skeleton crew for handling F3 and LE tax-free transfers. I think all F1 and F4 are suspended until the budget is settled and all .gov personnel go back to work.

Just pick a length and file now. All you need to decide is integral or traditional. Then just design to that length
