Welding the pin

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Welding the pin

Post by Siskiyous »

If I extend a short barrel using the welded pin method, can I run the pin through a larger sacrificial collar. So from outer to inner would be color, extension, barrel = with a hole all the way through the first 2 and partially into the barrel, and the tack weld on the collar at the pin. Thus, if it needed changing at some time I could just grind off the weld and not damage the extension?

I have some T/G barrels that I would like to use in Carbine form.
