Expandable Mandrel & Reamers

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Expandable Mandrel & Reamers

Post by Historian »

Keith Rucker has had many instructive videos from which I have
derived some useful techniques. Some future young members
might incorporate in some innovative experimentation.

It was like stepping into a time-machine
and going back to the 1955 machine shop but with a classy and
pleasant-soul machinist. :) :)

The video "Turning Bronze Bushings and Pressing them in Place"
demonstrates the use of expandable mandrel ( and expandable reamer )
that could prove useful for machining thin inserts/sleeves/separators, etc.,
in tubes ...e.g., sleeving/reenforcing aluminum tube with thin Ti/stainless for example;
concentric flow through circumferential coils when 5 degree CNCs are beyond budget.
