I’ve decided for my next project, I’m going to do a 30 cal can. This will go primarily on my 10” 5.56 AR SBR. At some point I might stick a 300 black upper on it (7.5- 8”). I’m cheap though, so I’ll probably mostly shoot 5.56.
Would a 1.5”-2” titanium tube at 5-7” length be ideal for this? I’m not going full auto, but I’ll probably do an occasional mag dump. I’m figuring internals all steel. Weight isn’t really a consideration, my 10” barrel is a .223 Wylde heavy barrel. I’m looking more for “take the edge off and not go deaf,” as opposed to “Hollywood quiet.”
Form 1 30 cal can
Re: Form 1 30 cal can
That should be plenty of tube for a 5.56. With a hole big enough to pass a 30 cal bullet it should befairly quiet.
You won't have to worry about blow back or a charging handle to the face.
