on form 1: 7.62 or 30 cal

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

What do you put for caliber? It’s for a 30 cal can. Do I put 7.62 or 30 cal? Does it matter?

I just put 30 cal on mine, but doesn't really matter. If you're diamond drag engraving, 30 cal is much easier stencils to trace :)

I used 30 cal with the intention of using it for both my 7.62x39 AK (yes the threads are concentric to bore) and my 300aac. The 7.62x39 is .310 bullets and the 300 is .308 but both are considered 30 cal.

Good point that it’s easier to engrave 30 vs 7.62. Not sure if the “.” Would show.

I say the simpler the better.
30cal is a nice rounded, even number and simple.
So much has changed since my last form 1

I went with “30 cal.” Eforms has options for either.

Now for the wait!
