8" .308 SS316 build

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

8" .308 SS316 build

Post by strobes »

Just for people waiting for approval, it was 3 weeks for me in Long Star State.
Now I have two designs in mind to choose from. For both SS316, 1.5"x8" tube, .065 wall, blast chamber 3", double walled with a spacer. baffles about .070 thinness. .370 holes. Will be used for hunting local nuisance, one shot with possible 2 to follow, max.
I like the one with less baffles, but they are more complicated to machine.
How performance would compare in your opinion between two? I can drop one of the K baffles on the right in favor of bigger blast chamber?

K's are typically for low pressure rounds.
Go with 60* cones and don't look back.
