Ruger 77-44MAG

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

My Friend, (& I use the term loosely, haha) Eric, just acquired this Ruger 77/44
so of course, the first thing we did was tare it apart.
I have never been too interested in the MAXIM/offset style, but now makes more since to give more volume in the can, and still clear the scope.

Cool design, to get around a double stamp, the inside tube is permanently attached to the receiver, then the baffles are screwed into the inside tube, and a light weight aluminum tube goes over all that!

ahh I see now.

I thought that was a hole caused by the bullet prematurly leaving the can.
