my .308 can design

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

+20 ....   ...if you guys would take a moment and look at his profile you would see the last time he visited the sight was in Aug. 2011.

I guess if you sent him a pm he might get an email from ST and come back to see whats going on, but that is probably your only chance at this point.....

Anyone who actually built this over the last two years? How did it turn out?
If it turned out well, can anyone post the PDF/DWG or CAD files?

ALL the pictures aren't gone.

The original I made is still kicking, I have no idea if any cans were made from the distributed plans, but I hope so.

I can post my original sketches, but they have precious few actual dimensions on them. I suppose I can take measurements if folks want them, but I will not spec the whole can out.

PM me if interested.

You are being very generous after so many years. The design is still a good one and one of the first to introduce sub sized spacers to to the F1 builder. While comparative tests would be needed the sectioned spacers most likely add to the suppression with the creation of additional turbulence.I have little doubt that its a quiet one.
