Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.
I'm currently on page 14 of the Smithing sub forum, I did REALLY try to answer my question without asking...with my luck it's probly a sticky somewhere.
I would like some dimensions for a M baffle. I've seen so far, people talk about them, I've seen some pictures too. They look really similar to K's.
