Then, the only fillip that could be offered for a carbine use is to increase the length
to 8". More volume, more expansion, more heat dissipation, etc. Of course you already
must know this from the insights on this forum.
Please let us know, see, and hear of your final product.
Success.

Re: help before machining !
On the second one, you don't need that big first chamber for a 22. That will only result in a FRP (First Round Pop). So if I was making this can I would put in another baffle there. But the only sure way to find out how well this design of yours will work is to try it.

Re: help before machining !
Why do you have the mouse halls only into the first baffle on the first design? I would add it to at least 2 more.

Re: help before machining !
the one I made was very similar to the first one you have pictured, It works great if you have access to the machinery to make it, the dimensions look good also. Someone else already mentioned that the second one has too big of an expansion chamber for a .22, I second that

Re: help before machining !
i think it will not work that way ,i mean with 60 degree cones + narrow spacers , try at 90 degree cone .

If you can beat the last one here viewtopic.php?p=529714#p529714 I'd like to see the design. Yes, it's THAT good, best silencer I've ever (not) heard.

Re: help before machining !
It's not THAT hard, do you have a lathe and mill (or a drill press)?

Re: help before machining !

Thanks
Thanks
Re: help before machining !
Sorry, this comment in english for mi it is complicated

Re: help before machining !
Hi Unanaranja,
¿ Are all these designs made by you or just copied/pasted from someone else ?
If it's the first case, i do recommend you to use just one modeling tool (I see there at least 3 different programs). If it’s the second option (copy/paste) I do recommend you to ask that question to the design owners … and also ask for some sort of permission, you know …
We all try, at this forum, to post as much information as we can without compromising our efforts, money, time, knowhow, … (sometime jobs) and don’t like to be copied/pasted that fast and that shameless.
You can always relay on others job to improve or innovate. Always mention the source. And always share.
This forum is not intended for design predators. Don’t be one of them !. Be one of us !. Join the community !. We all know you can do it !.
Being said that, just a moment of pray (several suppressed seconds …). Done !, you see, it’s easy.
By the way, the second design is closer to the Scirocco SM-11 (award winning in UK).
Best,
Paul
