5.56mm Form 1 Suppressor Construction Pics

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Thanks gents.

Just thought I'd post an update on this build as it's been like forever. The MK1Mod0 now has approximately 1k down the bore with no issues. I'm still completely happy with it's performance. I shoot with two real-deal precision rifle type dudes and they are always slightly irritated that their $1XXX.00 titanium cans are no better sounding than my old Form1. But, they can open theirs up for 'cleaning'. The Ceracote finish is holding up nicely but I usually have a TAB Gear cover on it. I also started running this can on an AR platform with an 18" rifle gas WOA upper. Only a wee bit of 'gas-in-face' but I'm a lefty and the block is not adjustable.

I likes it on this stick mo better, but the whole rig really needs a decent dirt-colored paint job.

Your can looks awesome! And 37 DB noise reduction is no joke. How did it effect the accuracy? I am filling out ATF paperwork now to do a Form 1 build with the help of msscot. He lives just up the road from me. I am thinking of making the core from stainless and the tube from Ti.

You wont find a better welder anywhere, he is the man, and the only guy I will let weld anything of mine.
