how does this monocore look?

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Like a pile of crap. Shiny but a god awful stench.

This will do little if anything for suppression.

You would be better off with washers and spacers!

The shape of it does little to encourage the air to get trapped / expand into a wall.

It is simple . . . and on a .22 would probably be "hearing safe" although I can't imagine it being that great.

If you go on what gas does leaving a hole you'll understand why flat washers dont work as well as conical shaped ones.

You have to direct the gas and prevent it from leaving the chamber easily.

Hello ...

new guy here but not in airguns .I was told that there was a negative talk here about ParisD silencer , from guys that have not tried one .
Ok it looks shiny and well made, and what you see is what i got, BUT i have to tell you guys that thing is awesome and works a lot better than the other silencers i have on my other rifles, including my HW100. Paris told me that the noise level could of been a even lower if i owned a .25cal, which unfortunately i do not. All my airguns are 1.77 and .22cal...but i am not complaining because like i told you it works better than all the others that i have purchased
Paris told me that another customer of his got one for his rim fire weapon and was so impressed by it he wanted another but for his 9mm powder burner, so he had to enlarge the bore of it.

Many many guys have bought this silencer but not many come out to say how good it is because they are worried about legalities, if you know what i mean. I am not because in Germany they are legal on airguns

From what i see in airguns forum in the US you pay a lot of money for tubes with washers, why not try this one for a lot less. if you do not like it sell it.

Do not ask me how silencers work because i have no idea. All i can tell you is that the finish is tops and so is the effectiveness

The carbon fiber look is just a stick on which i got form a car accessory shop, it protects the gun from scratches as well.

How does it sound on a Ruger 10/22?

Do you have any meter results for it?

Shoot it next to an Element or Sparrow and let us know how that turns out for you.

Just by looking at the blast chamber it should have a loud FRP . . . the only saving grace of this design is the pure amount of volume you have by using a 8" long silencer.

Very nice machining, way to much material and not enough volume. How does the tube secure to the core, I dont see threads? NM, I see set screws at the back.

I would say it does not perform well if I were to take a guess.

i gave up on that design after all the responces were negative. what i really thought was interesting was that it could be purchaced here for a air gun but it really looks like a usable silencer for a 22 rifle. it just seems not legal to sell here in the US without the stamp, but it is. wierd.

There is a big difference in silencing an air gun and a rifle. That design is not good for a rifle that used gun powder.

Wish I did . . .

I've shot enough .22 silencers and made some that worked well enough to have a slight idea on what works and what won't.

I just know that in one particular case I lengthened the blast chamber a half inch or so and it got louder
