It is not effect the sound suppression much, I hope. If only the annular groove is off center, not the center hole.
The groove might be made for the purpose of trying to reduce some weight, I guess.

Here are the cones i used my my 308 can which has 10 of them spaced at .750" appart , my next form-1 will use same cones but spaced at .625" so i can squeez 10 in a smaller tube with a slightly smaller blast chamber
OD is 1.498"
the flange is .025" (to sit on top of a .025"wall spacer)
cone angle is 50 deg , cone wall thickness is .050"
and length is .715"
made from 316L

iron.maiden wrote:50 degree cone ? did you try it ? looks '' no '' good to me that angle , spaced .750 , i tried it once in 308 , both 60 and 50 deg. cones .was a crap . loud as hell , tried in various spacers , i mean full 60 degree cone , from the bore to tube wall , didn't it with half 60 deg. cone , maybe half 60 deg. with some holes around baffle may work better , if you have the luxury to try 100 deg. cones too , have e try , i think it will work at .750 spacers with 10 baffles with small blast chamber , with 60 or 50 deg. cone try with 1.20'' or 1.37'' spacer length .
My can works great its the quietest 30 cal can i have heard even on a 300 win mag , granted it has a reasonably tight bore at .330". but it is heavy and big , OAL is just over 10" and OD is 1.625. , my internal spacers are 1.498"OD with .025" walls so it hase alot of volume
I have my first cone only .035" off the blast baffle (seen below)

Ok guys. Here are the pics in a clean thread. These have been split out of the original thread
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=60118
It is for pictures only and not discussion of pictures. It will get real cluttered with discussions if allowed.
Just a few rules to keep my work down to a minimum.
Post pictures and comments regarding your pictures only.
Posts that quote images, comments, or questions regarding the images will be deleted. I'm going to try to keep this cleaned up and as useful as possible.
If there is a problem with an image being posted such as incorrect information then please hit the report button and I'll make a note of it on the post.
If images get dropped by a hosting company for violating TOS or whatever the post will be removed. No sense having posts with blank "Image not here" images in them.
Enjoy and play nice and remember that this is a work in progress. It may not be perfect at first but hopefully it will grow into a useful tool.
Suggestions appreciated.
