Need help to test 3D PDF Documents (Suppressor 3D Model)

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Need help to test 3D PDF Documents (Suppressor 3D Model)

Post by PaulNoiseLess »

Hi,

I have setup a new way of sending 3D Models to those not having 3D CAD.

I have tested and works fine for me but not sure it’s because I have the CAD’s installed.

Could you please click on the following link (PDF file with 3D capabilities) and check it out ?

http://www.silencer-plans.com/3D-PDF/MonoCore.pdf

It’s an assembly of the .223RM MonoCores I posted few days ago. You should be able to look at the whole model (rotate, move, zoom, …) as well as at all the Parts.

Thanks for your help.

Best,

Paul

Hi,

Glad it Works: I have spent so much time trying to figure out how to share 3D models without the need of installing additional software …

OK, now let’s challenge this 3D PDF stuff (it’s heavy and takes time to load. Surf over the Parts with the tree button):

Full AR-15 model:

http://www.silencer-plans.com/3D-PDF/AR15.pdf

Full Ruger K-MK-III-6:

http://www.silencer-plans.com/3D-PDF/Ru ... -III-6.pdf

And, finally, an easy one, X-Baffles (.223 and .308 for Dual-Tube Cans, find the answer):

http://www.silencer-plans.com/3D-PDF/X-Baffles.pdf

Best,

Paul

Hi,

Yes, this F stuff just works fine. I’m happy, makes my live easier.

For those who never had the chance to have a K-Baffle in hand or just view one in 3D, here you have a punch of them with the Calibers I usually model for them.

Best,

Paul

Hi,

If you are wonder why/how a 3-Lug mount works, here you have the answer:

http://www.silencer-plans.com/3D-PDF/3-LugMount.pdf

Don't miss the oportunity to isolate the Rear Cap and have a "closer" look inside, there you have the Key !

If I do remember correctly I did Post Plans (Blue Prints) for this one … not sure now … If someone remembers, post the Link so we have the full project available !

Best,

Paul

Hi,

It’s always a pleasure and an honor to share with all of you. I have my shoulder broken so no fun for now, more is coming.

One thing to take into account: save the PDF files at your local hard drive in case you want to keep them.

Acrobat reader 10.x (free) can read the files fine. At some point, I’ll have to close the folder and just dedicate to Customers.

Hope you understand.

Best,

Paul

Hi,

This one is also very tricky: A real Quick Attach/Detach Mount !

http://www.silencer-plans.com/3D-PDF/TheLockingCone.pdf

One hand in the Barrel and one Hand in the Suppressor, 1/4 turn and done !

Look at how the middle of the FH is Machined and isolate Part 3 and 4 to have a “closer” look inside, look from both sides, it’s conical !

Best,

Paul

I just deleted all the files due to high traffic on my site. I’ll upload the latest QD Mount model into a free storage site and post the link.

OK, no problem. Let me know what you want me to upload and I will (not “all”, please). There are many 3D PDF Models available in my GrabCAD.Com account, just follow this link: https://grabcad.com/paulnoiseless-1/projects

OK, here you have the final version of the 3D PDF QD Locking Cone (1/4 QD Mount). Don’t click on the link but go for a “Save Link As” and then open in your local drive (It’s a PDF file so no issues with Viruses or so): http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/6924/6xn.pdf
