MonoCores & MiniLathes Tutorial: Chapter 0

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

MonoCores & MiniLathes Tutorial: Chapter 0

Post by PaulNoiseLess »

Hi,

Chapter 0: This one is just an Intro.

OK, my Titanium Tubes already arrived at town.

My first project is a MonoCore: Fully built in a MiniLathe (9x20) and a Drill Press, not just symmetric holes in a raw (like Mosquito or MFJ or Dragonfly or others …). Little bit better Baffles.

Here you have the specs:

Titanium (Grade 9) Tube, Aluminum 6061/T6 Core and SS Blast (tbd).
6 inches OAL x 1 inch OD x 0.065 wall x 4.75-5.5 ounces.

.22LR-WM-MJL

This one is the first I did model in Suppressor Shoot 1.0 in COMSOL (beta) so it’s going to be a good chance to compare field vs. simulation. I already have the new Mics, just sent to calibration.

OK, so here you have Chapter 0: One of my Rhinos brings the bar stock to the Cave … more to come

Paul
